DMCC free zone is located in Jumeirah Lakes Towers area, on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai emirate.
DMCC companies will be good for those who:
– need UAE company which can conduct business within UAE and to work with other companies registered in UAE;
– need actual office in Dubai;
– need resident visas.
Types of Companies:
New Company – company where shareholder(-s) is/are individuals;
Subsidiary Company – company where the shareholder(-s) is/are corporate;
Branch – branch of existing company.
Types of companies based on their activity:
DMCC Company – “commodities” companies which trade in commodities;
JLT Company – companies with all other activities;
Capital Amount: 50,000 dirham ($13,700) for one shareholder. Should be paid within 3 weeks from the license’s issuing.
Types of License: license issued for certain type of activity and discussed with the registrar in each case. General Trading License also may be issued. All licenses issued for 1 year and should be renewed after.
Requirements for Shareholder/Director: there are no requirements for the residency/citizenship of the shareholder/director. Foreign corporate shareholder is allowed. Corporate director is prohibited.
Office: actual and “flexi desk office” allowed. Lease agreement should be signed and submitted to the registrar for it to be able to proceed with the license’ issuing. Min space for the actual office is 540 sq ft (approx 50 sq m). Flexi desk office is not allowed for General Trading License and companies with more than one license.
Visas: flexi desk companies are entitled for 3 visas. Companies with real offices with the min space (50 sq m) are entitled to 5 visas. For each 10 sq m = 1 visa.
Audit and Accounting: there are no requirements for accounting. Audit should be submitted to renew the license.
